ANNUAL PLAN
The Annual Plan is one of the most important components of the functioning of Local Self-Government Institutions. It is a collection of development, welfare, infrastructure, and service activities to be implemented within the jurisdiction of the Grama Panchayat during a financial year, planned and implemented in advance by considering the needs of the people and the specific development conditions of the area. The main objective of the Annual Plan is to effectively utilize the limited resources of the Panchayat, address the needs of various sections of society, and provide a clear direction for local development.
People's participation has great importance in the preparation of the Annual Plan. Local needs are identified and priorities are determined with the participation of Gram Sabhas, development seminars, working groups, elected representatives, officials, and experts from various fields. Various projects are formulated by considering the needs raised by the people, the socio-economic conditions of the area, the status of infrastructure, available resources, and government guidelines.
